General Info:
Little Hatchet is a small pond that links to Hatchet Pond via a tiny stream at one end it used to be just one long waterway but over the years it has somehow separated off into to separate waters.
It is about 1 ½ acres in size and has some amazing underwater depth changes! The topography of the lake has been described as ‘like an egg box’ with its bars and gullies.
The lakes surroundings are as varied as its depths with lily pads and reed beds filling the lakes corners and offering the fish a wide range of protection.
Let’s talk fish!
The inhabitance of the little lake are much the same as in the big lake with a variety of carp from old school English mirrors to long sleek common’s with the lakes largest fish being ‘The Horse’ at 30lb +

At a guess I would say there are probably around 20 carp in Little Hatchet with the biggest being the aforementioned Mirror.
As well as the carp the lake has a stock of silver fish and some quite impressive Bream that will always keep your bite alarms busy.
