Adjustable Distance 2 Hook Bomber Rig

These are the parts you will need for this rig:

1 X Breakaway Impact Shield
1 X length of 40lb clear mono (1.5m Approx)
2 X lengths of 20lb clear mono (1m Approx)
2 X 2/0 Kamasan Hooks
1 X Rig tube
1 X 6oz Red Gemini Lead
1 X Gemini genie clip
5 X Breakaway teardrop beads
1 X 80lb Gemini body swivel
2 X Gemini snood swivels
2 X Sequins
1 X Rig crimp

First take your length of 40lb mono and tie your 80lb rig swivel to one end, then take your rig tube and cut it into 1/2cm (5mm) pieces. You will need 14 pieces in total for this rig.
Next slide 1 of your pieces of rig tube down the line towards your swivel.

Take your loose end of line (your “tag” end) and thread it back on itself through the piece of tubing in the same direction…

And pull the line straight, this will make your first adjustable stop knot which should be about 5cm from your main swivel.

Repeat this three times so that you have 3 stop knots on your line. Then slide up one of your Breakaway beads, then a snood swivel, then a bead and then make 3 more stop knots.

You will then need to repeat this about 40cm (16”) down from your first one to make it a two hook rig.

Before we attach the hooks we need to make the clip system and attach the lead. First slide a rig crimp up the line and crimp down on the crimp about 15cm (6”) from the end of your mono, slide on your rig bead followed by your breakaway impact shield and add the rubber to hold the shield in place.

Then, lock all this onto the rig buy tying on your Gemini genie clip.

Finally clip on your lead.

Next tie a 1 meter length of 20lb clear mono to your hook.

Then tie the other end to the snood swivel making sure the length fits to the impact shield.

(It doesn’t have to be exact because the snood swivel can be adjusted by sliding the stop knots towards or away from the impact shield)

Repeat this with the other hook and swivels and clip the hooks onto the impact shield to make sure that they both fit.

Your end product will look like this, two different length snoods clipped down and ready to go!
